Mr. Bryan Lammers got bachelor’s degree of electronic engineering in 1984 from Cameron University and bachelor’s degree of technology science in 1993 from the same university. He was working in Texas Instruments Company during 1984 to 2011 and then joined STI as CTO in 2011.

Specialty:He has rich experience and thorough research foundation in test system and procedure development for wafer probe of semiconductor and finished devices

Achievements:Working in Texas Instruments for 27 years, he was in charge of making wafer and finished-product test procedures, assessing features of new products and analyzing failures, and he successfully completed many projects including packaging technology certification, wafer factory authentication, third-party automatic test equipment verification etc.

In 2011 he joined STI and this time he directly communicates with customers. By improving technologies and carrying out engineering assessment, he helped to improve the test ability and curve scanning function of the equipment.

Shuji Nakamura was born in 1954 in Japan, and graduated from the University of Tokushima, he is a Japanese American electronic engineering expert and now is a professor working in the Dept. of Material of University of California, SantaBarbara.

Mr. Shuji started to study blue LED from 1989 and in 1993 he developed high-light blue LED based on GaN, which has made bright but energy-saving white light available when red and green LED are the only LEDs in the past 20 years. Mr. Shuji won over 200 American patents and over 300 Japanese patents in relevant fields and has published over 550 essays.
Due to the outstanding achievements in blue LED, Mr. Shuji has won many awards, including IEEE Jack A, Morton Award, Britain’s Top Science Award (1998), Benjamin Franklin Medal (2002), Millennium Technology Prize (2006) etc. and in 2003, Mr. Shuji became an academician of NAE.

On October 7, 2014, Mr. Shuji, together with Isamu Akasaki and Hiroshi Amano, won 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics for inventing “high-efficiency blue light emitting diode (LED)”.
